Cosy Candlelit Retreat

A weekend of yoga, self-care, warming meals and relaxation in a cosy countryside house in Nottinghamshire.

Friday 13th – Sunday 15th February 2026

This weekend will be a chance to retreat from the cold, dark end of winter in a warm and cosy house by the River Trent. You can enjoy candlelit gentle yin and restorative yoga practices, to calm the nervous system and release tension we often carry when it is cold. You will have the opportunity to be guided in breathwork, meditation and journaling to take time to reflect on your year so far. In the mornings there will be more dynamic vinyasa practices to build heat in the body and reenergise your whole being. In between yoga sessions there will be time to sit by the fire with a book or indulge in some pampering or take a stroll along the river. We will enjoy warm hearty meals together including 2 dinners, 2 breakfasts and 1 lunch and plenty of homemade sweet treats!

The house is located between Lincoln and Newark, around a 50minute drive from Grantham. Arrival time will be around 5pm on Friday and activities will conclude around midday on Sunday.

A day of mindful movement, nourishing food and connection with your self, others and nature, all in the beautiful surroundings of Grantham House.

Sunday 5th October 2025

5 hours to escape from the hectic digital world, to slow down and appreciate our physical world on this retreat inside the walled garden of Grantham House. We flowed together with a vinyasa yoga class, took a mindful walk around the autumnal grounds, found a moment to pause, reflect and note down the good things we are surrounded by, enjoyed a light, nutritious, plant-based picnic, explored our creative side with some mindful arts & crafts and created connection through partner yoga and massage.

Retreat by the Beach

A weekend of yoga, glamping and swimming in the sea on the beautiful Lincolnshire coast.

Friday 20th – Sunday 22nd June 2025

We had a joyful, sunny weekend marvelling at the big blue open skies, the steadiness of the waves, the softness of the sand between our toes and the refreshing water of the North Sea. We moved our bodies and focussed our minds in harmony with the natural elements of earth, fire, water and air. We slept in cosy glamping pods and bell tents nestled in a meadow a 10minute walk from the beach and enjoyed homemade meals together whilst getting to know each other and finding connection by the campfire.

Yoga Adventure Holidays

Here at Grow Your Wings we want to help people not only connect with themselves and the people around them but also learn about this beautiful planet we call home. Ellie, the founder of Grow Your Wings, has travelled around the world on many backpacking trips, with backpacker budgets, and has managed to find so many fantastic spots to practice yoga and admire the world that she can’t wait to share with you.

We aim to organise yoga adventure holidays that allow you to explore new cultures and landscapes in far flung countries, whilst interspersing these escapades with yoga practice, dancing and meditation to create truly unforgettable travel experiences at a more affordable price than the average luxury yoga retreat.

The trips would include:

  • morning vinyasa/ashtanga practice and meditation
  • sight-seeing/adventure afternoon activities (depending on location to include hiking, city-touring, white-water rafting, swimming/snorkelling)
  • optional dance classes, massage therapy, art workshops
  • sunset meditation
  • basic but comfortable accommodation (camping, hostels, homestays etc)
  • healthy vegan meals prepared and eaten as a group
